About the couple

There are few things better in life than the love for your dog. But what about when you find someone who shares that love? Some would say that’s hitting the jackpot. Jake and Emily met at work and instantly bonded over their love for their dogs. After working together for a year, Jake suggested that their dogs should “Meet and Hang out!” (Smooth move Jake!). Their first date was at the dog park in 2017 – where else would it have been?!

The engagement.

On a chilly March morning Jake and Emily decided to go to the Dog Park, which happened to be the spot where their first date was. This time however, it was with their now three furry friends. After walking a few laps with the pups, Jake got down on one knee and proposed. Emily was completely shocked! Their sweet dogs once again played a role on a special, memorable day.

The Big day

You guessed it, their dogs were part of it! It was a beautiful October day, full of sunshine which allowed them to utilize the Hay Loft’s patio – one of the things that drew them to use this venue. They loved the string lights both outside and inside and they knew it just “felt right” to have their wedding here. Their personalized sign behind the sweetheart table made for a simple and elegant look. What a fun group of people (& dogs) to have here at the Hay Loft. Thanks for letting us be part of the day!
