About the couple

Very few people can say their paths came close to crossing on the day they were born! Just 4 months apart, born at the same hospital in Milwaukee, came Julie and Josh. Josh grew up to be quite the family man. His care and love for people around him brings so much joy to others. Likewise, Julie has a big heart and loves doing things for her loved ones “simply because.” Back in 2018 on a dating app is where these two initially connected. Julie, being her witty self, got the ball rolling. After a few dates it was inevitable – they were meant to be together.

The engagement.

Is there anything better than when the engagement story begins with a conversation with the bride’s dad? We love a gentleman! After blessings from dad, Josh began the planning. The couple was on a trip to Rhode Island. Josh popped the question while Julie was trying to make reservations for dinner. Surprised and excited, Julie said, yes!

The Big day

Although it was the price that initially drew Josh and Julie to tour The Hay Loft, after seeing it in person and meeting with the staff they were beyond impressed. Playing off the natural rustic vibes of the barn, there was very little decorating that needed to be done. Let the Barn speak for itself! Julie incorporated simple, beautiful centerpieces as the perfect touch. Julie and Josh said that Tim, Ben, and the rest of the staff were amazing and made everything perfect for their special day. They could see the Staff’s passion for what they do and through the upkeep of the property.

They were an amazing group to have as part of the Hay Loft family. What a wonderful evening it was!
